Action Positive

Deliverables: Visual Identity, Web

Role: Branding, Design

Description: Action Positive VIH-sida is a non-profit, French-speaking organization operating in the Greater Toronto Area and Central South-West Ontario. Action Positive provides prevention, education and support services and aims to meet the psycho-social needs of people of all backgrounds who are living with, affected by or at risk of contracting HIV.

The problem: The creative is an oversight, outdated and non approachable. The younger generation doesn’t feel connected to the brand.

The solution: Rebrand for web and collateral with a fresh new look, representative of the younger generation seeking support. I tied in new-and-old by combining approachable colour gradients with playful iconography, juxtaposed with a vintage ad editorial design layout and font style.

Key Takeaways: It felt important to keep designs light and simple, giving the information room to breathe in the design - so that it can effectively reach those who need the support. It was a joy to listen and help an organization do meaningful work.
